Local Law Office Collects Supplies for Damaged Schools

For nearly two weeks, Bay St. Louis attorney Brehm Bell and his staff collected donations for both Hancock Middle School, which had been flooded due to a sprinkler malfunction, and Petal Upper Elementary, which had been heavily damaged during recent tornadoes. And the effort paid off, with the staff delivering boxes of classroom supplies for both schools on Friday, February 3.

Area businesses, churches, service organizations and individuals came together to donate over $1500 in everything from notebooks and pencils to school uniforms and modeling clay.

“We're grateful to everyone who helped out with this collection,” said Brehm Bell. “The schools were so thankful for the donations and it was a real blessing to be part of helping them get back on their feet. As Katrina taught us, it's important to pay it forward when you can.”

Bell is a personal injury attorney and had been practicing in Bay St. Louis for over 20 years.
